Plan around the evening atmosphere
After dark, the illuminated buildings become a major part of the visit. Choose a few views you want to photograph, then plan a route that also leaves space for food and entertainment. Avoid spending the whole visit chasing pictures. A slower walk often gives you time to notice details and enjoy the atmosphere between larger stops.
Use the programme for entertainment
Check the official show schedule for your chosen date before building the evening around a performance. Fireworks, concerts and special events should never be assumed to happen on every visit.
